BANKSIA GARDENS COMMUNITY SERVICES
Banksia Gardens Community Services is a vibrant neighbourhood house and community service organisation located in the heart of Broadmeadows. With a strong commitment to community development and action research principles, our programs focus mainly on early childhood, education and training, young people, environmental sustainability and community participation and advocacy. More than 30 groups and Associations are based at our Centre, which was used by more than 80,000 people in 2016.
Women's Health in the North
WHIN is the women’s health service in the northern metropolitan region of Melbourne. They provide health information and education to women and organisations,
develop policy and research,
create innovative resource materials,
train health and welfare professionals and
support and partner with other organisations on issues of strategic importance.
Hume City Council
Hume City Council is one of Australia's fastest-growing and culturally-diverse communities and is home to more than 198,000 residents.
The City's rich history stretches back over 40,000 years, when the indigenous communities of the Gunung-Willam-Balluk first inhabited the region.
Today, Hume residents come from more than 160 different countries and speak approximately 140 languages - with two out of every five residents speaking a language other than English.
Berry Street
Berry Street was established in 1877.
Today, they are Victoria’s largest independent child and family services organisation.
They help children, young people and families recover from the devastating effects of violence, abuse and neglect. Their focus is on the right of every child to a good childhood, growing up feeling safe, nurtured and with hope for the future.
Northern Community Legal Centre
Northern Community Legal Centre (NCLC) operates in one of the fastest growing and disadvantaged areas of Melbourne.
Our purpose is to ensure equal access to justice for all in Melbourne’s North West and we do this by the provision of legal services, community legal education and law reform to meet the needs of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Melbourne’s North West.
