I'm a recent gender studies graduate, intersectional feminist and keen bike rider. I designed the website and help coordinate GPAN's social media.
What do you love about GPAN?
I love that GPAN provides an active and fun space to tackle gender inequality. Sometimes it's hard to remain positive when discussing violence against women in Australia. However, GPAN meetings really give me hope that our work challenging gender roles and stereotypes will make a difference. (Also we get to have cute dinners together!)
A bit about you
I have two little siblings, and I work as a nanny. I adore kids, and I hope to have a couple, and work with them throughout my career! I like listening to podcasts at the pool, trying to make falafels or shakshuka from Ottolenghi's cookbook and playing records. Finally, I've been in Mexico for two months, and it's my New Years resolution to learn the salsa (how to be both the follower AND the leader).
Where do you want to be in five years?
In 5 years I want to be working in the community development sector, hopefully advocating for gender equality, and the rights of Indigenous Australians. I wouldn't mind doing some work in the Kimberley, and learning to spearfish on the weekends!
